LONG LAMA: The completion of the drainage system project surrounding the Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Church here should resolve the frequent flash flood problems during the rainy season.

Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau said that project was completed last month under his constituency’s Rural Transformation Project (RTP).

“Upon completion of this project, it is hoped that the irrigation and drainage system will work well,” he said after witnessing the handing over of the drainage project on Wednesday (May 12).

He hoped the drainage system would prevent flash floods during the rainy season.

Also present at the simple handover ceremony were Telang Usan District Officer representative Mike Arthur Nakabok, the contractor and a representative of Long Lama BEM Church.
