BINTANGOR: The Sarawak government has approved an allocation of RM500,000 to help continue the Kai Ngoung Methodist Church construction project here.

Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing said the allocation was channelled through his Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), aimed at ensuring the project runs smoothly.

“I’m hoping this facility will be used to its full potential once it has been fully completed.

“The government of Sarawak has shown that it is fair in addressing the religious needs of all races by approving the funding for this project,” he said today.

He pointed out that the church’s construction followed modern trends and was done so to accommodate the growing number of Christians.

“As a result, I have incorporated the building of the Kai Nguong Church into the Meradong State Assemblyman’s RTP project. I hope that everyone involved will work together to ensure this project is finished on time and benefits the public,” he added.

He added that the RTP’s implementation was proof of the Sarawak government’s commitment to giving the populace the best facilities.
