Churches to hold X’mas parade

MUKAH: A Christmas parade involving all the Christian churches here will be held on Dec 10, starting at Astaka Dataran Menara Pehin Setiaraja.

Organised by All Churches of Sarawak (ACS) Mukah branch, the parade is being revived after several years following the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to organising chairman Richard Revis Jinmin, the objective of the parade to mark the Christmas Day.

“A parade like this was organised previously by ACS about three to four years ago but due to certain reasons, including the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to cancel it,” he said.

Assemblyman Tellian Royston Valentine will be present.

The parade is expected to start at 7.30 pm at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja, then through Ah Soon Corner, through Taman Boulevard Setiaraja area, then through Agro Bank Mukah area, through the Labour Office and back to Dataran Pehin Setiaraja.
