CIDB course attracts 48 participants

SIBU: Forty-eight contractors and would-be ones attended a 4-day business course organised by CIDB at Hotel Premier, here which concluded, yesterday.

“The would be contractors were from Sibu, Sarikei, Matu Daro and Spaoh, Betong,” said Managing Director of M-Acorp Enterprise, Mashan Haji Ahmad Rais.

“It is one of the ways for contractors to collect points under the “Contractor Continous Development” (CCD) to renew their licences since 2010.

“Apart from that it is also aimed at enhance professionalism among the contractors and improve public confidence and competency on local contractors,” he said.

Through this course also the participants, he said was exposed to subjects such as business networking, Information and Communication Technology, market information, company’s profile, Analysis and Reports, creating buisness partners and contacts and basic accounting.

Mashan who is also a facilitator for the course said that the course also allowed the participants to know the improtance of networking among the business community, ICT knowledge, access business performance and business directions and others.

“A registration fee of RM424 is charged for each course participant while bearers of CIDB green card only pays RM212.
