KUCHING: The inaugural Citrawarna Keluarga Malaysia 2022 celebration kicked-off yesterday at the Kuching Waterfront here.

On its first day of its launch, various information booths promoted tourism sectors from different states while various activities were drawn up to enliven the event.

New Sarawak Tribune spoke to members of public for their comments on the celebration.

Such huge eventS are good for the tourism industry as well as the economic sector. Citrawarna is providing us with a platform to boost the tourism industry with  strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) to follow.

Of course, there are pros and cons of organising such events during the COVID-19 pandemic. But at the end of the day, tourism contributes the most to the country’s economy. The tourism industry was the first to be affected during the virus outbreak and is the last to recover. Hence, this Citrawarna is timely.

This event brings people together. It is good that there is an awareness of what people are doing and the public  are consciously interested to know more about the event.

To me,  Citrawarna Keluarga Malaysia 2022 is an interesting event.

The event is timely. It has been a while since big events like this are hosted. People can come and watch performances, exhibitions and view handcrafts as part of the government’s initiative to promote cultural diversity.
