KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) vice president Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom has described the recent PBB closed-door meeting as a “normal meeting”.

“I’m sorry, I was not at the meeting. I was asked to attend a meeting in Putrajaya which was held on the same day.

“I don’t have the privy to tell you what was happening there. I think it was a normal meeting,” he told reporters after witnessing the handing over of the new Laku Management Sdn Bhd chairmanship to Datuk Nelson Balang Rining at the Laku office in Miri today.

Rundi was fielding questions by reporters on whether PBB had discussed on the state election during the meeting last Saturday which was chaired by party president Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

There are speculations that the closed-door meeting was discussing on the preparation for the upcoming 12th state election which is due by 2021.

“I also cannot hint to you what it was about. I would say exactly what is happening, but I don’t have the privy because I was not there.
