KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg received four courtesy calls at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here yesterday.

The first courtesy call was made by South East Asia Ministry of Education Organisation (Seameo SEN) director Datin Dr Hajah Yasmin Hussain who led a delegation with the aim to inform Johari about the International Conference on Special Education-Access and Engagement (ICSE 2017) which will be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) from 31 July until 31 August.

The second courtesy call was from a delegation from Miri Malay Charitable Trust Board (LAKMM) led by its chairman, Dato’ Abdillah Abdul Rahim.

The purpose of the visit was to introduce the board members and to brief Abang Johari on the board’s functions and contributions to the community as well as to extend an invitation to him to attend the Hari Raya celebration which is expected to be held on the fifth day of Hari Raya in Miri.

Thereafter, Abang Johari received a courtesy call by delegates from Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) led by its chairman, Ir Lo Khere Chiang.

The purpose of the visit was to invite the Chief Minister to attend the Padawan International 4X4 Off Roader Challenge 2017 which will be held from 21 to 23 July.

Also in the delegation were MPP deputy chairman, Dato’ Ahmad Dato Sri Ibrahim and Minister of Local Government and Housing, Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Johari also received a courtesy call from Assistant Minister of Native Laws and Customs, Datuk John Sikie Tayai and his delegation.
