KUCHING: Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) Sarawak Region Office is organising a webinar titled ‘Post Covid-19: Sarawak the New Normal’ which features Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg as the panellist. 

The one-hour webinar will be held on June 9 at 10am using the online platform called Webinarjam; it will be moderated by MPC director-general Datuk Abdul Latif Abu Seman.

According to MPC Sarawak Region in a statement, the objective of the webinar session is to share the chief minister’s views on post Covid-19, the new normal and the changes towards ensuring that post Covid-19 is sustainable and inclusive. 

It will also provide a platform for the public and private sectors to share their views and ideas on post Covid-19 era.

MPC Sarawak Region targets 1,000 participants from both the public and private sectors — members of the public are expected to join the webinar session as well.

Meanwhile, at the end of the webinar, Abang Johari will officiate the launch of Sarawak Productive. Among the programmes within Sarawak Productive are a series of webinars to create awareness about digital transformation for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The webinar will assist businesses to operate on digital platforms as well as to promote business matching between digital service providers and entrepreneurs.

The Sarawak Productive programme also consists of the Business Excellence transformation journey, a holistic approach for organisations intending to move their performance to the next level; strengthening engagement and creating greater value to stakeholders as well as thriving in the competitive marketplace.

The Enterprise Innovation Intervention Programme (EIIP) improves productivity and quality at the enterprise level. It will assist enterprises through hands-on approach and provides intervention in existing practices to help solve productivity and quality issues.

To further assist businesses, the Business Virtual Advisory Services will be launched in August 2020. These virtual advisory services comprise Business Webinar, Business Virtual Advisory Clinic, Business.
