CM visits vaccination centres in Miri

MIRI: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg conducted a working visit to four vaccination centres (PPVs) here today.

Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) reported that Abang Johari and other dignitaries visited the Miri Hospital PPV at Dato Lee Teck Fook Hall, Riam Road Secondary School Miri soon after arriving at 11am.

He spent 30 minutes monitoring the vaccine rollout process at the PPV. The Miri Hospital PPV has administered a total of 720 doses of the Sinovac vaccine to second dose recipients as of Saturday.

Soon after, Abang Johari and his delegation visited the Eastwood Valley PPV at Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club.

It is understood that a total of 1,092 individuals have received the second dose injection, while another 972 people received their first dose at the PPV.

The chief minister continued his working visit to the Lutong Oil and Gas Industry PPV in the afternoon before attending a briefing by the Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee at the Curtin University Hall PPV.

Accompanying him during the visit were Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin and State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion.
