CMCO in Kuching ends

KUCHING: The conditional movement control order (CMCO) in this district will end effective 11.59pm tonight.

The CMCO which started on Nov 9 was initially scheduled to end on Nov 22, before being extended to tomorrow.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the decision was made during the committee’s meeting today.

“As Kuching district has changed its zone status from red to orange with 30 cases of local infections reported to date, SDMC has decided that CMCO for Kuching district be terminated effective 11.59pm on Nov 27.

“SDMC would like to take this opportunity to thank all agencies and all residents of Kuching district for their cooperation in ensuring that standard operating procedures (SOPs) are complied with,” it said in a statement.
