CMCO SOPs for Sibu Division extended

SIBU: The Sibu Division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) has decided that the conditional movement control order (CMCO) standard operating procedures (SOPs) in Sibu Division be extended for another two weeks.

Sibu DDMC, in a statement on Monday (April 26), said the enforcement period would begin from April 27 to May 10.

The CMCO SOPs cover Sibu Division only, including Selangau and Kanowit districts.

For public reference, especially in Sibu Division, the list of important services is as follows:

Important Services – April 26-May 10

Only ALLOWED to operate at 50 per cent employee capacity

Manufacturing:

1. Aerospace (components and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO));

2. Automotive (vehicles and components);

3. Food, drink and its chains; Hours of operation (NO ‘DINE-IN’) are allowed from 6am to 8pm only.

4. Packaging and printing;

5. Household products, personal care items (FMCG – soap, personal cleaners etc.) and detergents, including its chains;

6. Health and medical treatment including supplements;

7. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and fire safety equipment;

8. Components for medical devices;

9. Electrical and electronics;

10. Oil and Gas;

11. Petrochemicals and petrochemical products;

12. Chemical products;

13. Machinery and equipment;

14. Ceramics (ceramics as moulds for the manufacture of gloves);

15. Iron and steel;

16. Textiles involving the production of PPE only;

17. Furniture sector; and

18. Production, distillation, storage, supply and distribution of fuels and lubricants.

Construction

19. Construction:

i. Critical maintenance and repair work;

ii. Major public infrastructure construction works, and

iii. Building construction work that provides complete worker accommodation on a construction site or workers housed in Centralised Workers Quarters (CLQ).

Distribution Trade

20. Warehousing and Logistics;

21. Food and Beverage Services / Sales / Delivery; and

22. Retail / Distribution / Wholesale / Hardware Stores.

Plantation and Commodities

23. Agriculture, fisheries and livestock and their chains; and

24. Plantation and its commodities and chains.

Services

25. Automotive (Repairs and Maintenance Only);

26. Financial Services and its chains

i. Financial Institutions (Banking, Insurance, Takaful and other entities licensed, approved or registered by Bank Negara Malaysia); and

ii. An entity is a capital market entity licensed, registered or regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia.

27. Municipal and local government services

i. Community credit / mortgage (licensed money lending company);

ii. Sewerage / solid waste management;

iii. Public cleansing; and

iv. Premises Cleaning; and cleanliness

28. Communications include telecommunications and the internet, post and courier, and broadcasting

29. Information technology encompasses global business services and call centres

30. E-Commerce and its chains include e-marketplace services, digital payments and local e-commerce internet centres

31. Digital creative content development in the studio includes film editing

32. Hotels and lodging

33. Security Control Service (Security Service)

34. Security and Defence;

35. Agriculture, fisheries and livestock sectors including veterinary services:

i. Management of farms / swiftlet nests / horses / animal processing plants / abattoirs (slaughterhouses / livestock / animal feed factories / suppliers such as vaccines / livestock management / pet shops (livestock transfer operations are at night);

ii. Disease control and production of live livestock, livestock inputs and livestock related industry products (including exports and imports);

iii. Health management, disease diagnosis and treatment of animals.

36. Utilities (water and energy);

37. Professional (including accountants / lawyers / auditors / engineers / architects), scientific (including R&D) and technical services (including maintenance);

38. Judicial and legal services;

39. Transport by land, water and air;

40. Services and operations of ports, shipyards and airports, including unloading and transferring cargo, navigating, storing or storing commodities.

41. Ship construction and repair sector, and
