KUCHING: Sarawak chief coach, Mohd Farhan Abdullah was riled at the loss of concentration by his players which caused them to lose 1-2 to Sabah in a Premier League match at the State Stadium here today.

He said in the first half, his boys appeared directionless which resulted in the visitors netting two quick goals in the 36th and 38th minutes.

“Even though we fought back in the second half but it was too late. Besides we had two goals cancelled which affected squad as well,” he told reporters after the match.

In the game, Sabah scored via Rodoljub Paunovi and Sabri Sahar while the hosts’ only goal was netted by Pedro Henrique at the end of the match.

Meanwhile, Sabah coach Jelius Ating was all praised for his squad for stealing three points in the opponents’ home ground,

“We were lucky today. We could see the waves of incessant attacks by Sarawak but our defence was almost invincible,” he said.

Sarawak will be meeting UKM FC in Kuala Lumpur while Sabah will host Police at Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu next Saturday. – Bernama
