MIRI: A man got a shock of his life when he encountered a one-meter-long cobra in the toilet of a church in Tudan Desaras Lorong 5C, Phase 6 around 9pm last Wednesday.
Three Miri Civil Defence Department (APM) personnel were immediately sent to the place after being alerted about 9pm. They managed to secure the area in less than 20 minutes.
Before the snake was found, three people were in the church building making arrangements for an event this Sunday.
According to the church supervisor, they were alarmed when they heard loud shouts coming from the toilet area.
When told that a snake was in the toilet, they immediately called the department.
