KUALA LUMPUR: Coca-Cola Bottlers Malaysia (CCBM), the bottling arm of The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) has appointed Tolga Cebe as its new chief executive officer (CEO) of the Bottling Investments Group (BIG) for Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei, effective June 1, 2023.

Commenting on his appointment, Cebe said he will be focusing on creating value for the customers, driving sustainable business growth, and making a positive difference in the community.

“I am excited to move to this region and I will continue the remarkable growth and transformation in the Coca-Cola Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei operations and strengthen our competitive position with further innovation in packaging and products,” he said in a statement today.

A Turkish citizen, Cebe who is also the chief commercial officer for BIG (across 13 countries in Asia and the Middle East), is instrumental in leading the commercial growth agenda with long-term planning across the verticals of revenue growth management, route-to-market, winning at the point of sale, modern trade, e-commerce, and digital transformation centred around e-business-to-business (eB2B).

He joined TCCC in 2004 and has held various leadership positions, including Middle East operations vice-president and general manager since 2019, overseeing 13 countries across the region.

He has over 27 years of experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and previously held roles at Procter & Gamble, the Boston Consulting Group, and the Monitor Group, all of which have equipped him with the necessary skills to navigate the ever-changing business landscape, develop sound strategies, and build upon the company’s strengths.

He succeeded the former CEO, Louis Balat, who has been appointed as TCCC’s Latin Centre Zone president and relocated to San Jose, Costa Rica.

Coca-Cola has been in Malaysia for over 85 years, refreshing Malaysians with its innovative Halal-certified products.

To date, CCBM has invested RM1.3 billion cumulatively in building its world-class distribution hub at Halal Park, Bandar Enstek in Negeri Sembilan, and supporting the Malaysian economy. – BERNAMA
