KUCHING: The Kuching Community College has adopted the IQEEP, an innovative stock taking check system created by Kuching Sarawak Polytechnic (PKS).

PKS director Hikmatullah Hajid Ahmad Khan presented the system to Kuching Community College director Suharyati Sulaiman during a ceremony held at the community college yesterday.

The IQEEP System will facilitate the college to conduct stock-taking checks in its library.

Previously, the IQEEP System was implemented at the Training Institute Library of the Ministry of Health, Kuching Sarawak, RPR Taman Palma Indah Village Library, and Hajah Sena Bugo Village Library at Kampung Sungai Bedil Besar.

IQEEP or Innovation, Quick & Reliable, Efficient Data Conditioning, Easy to use and Portable Devices is a system that was developed by the PKS Library Unit for the purpose of calculating the amount of stock/collection and tracking stock/collection at the PKS Sri Kenyalang Library.

IQEEP helps to quickly calculate the total collection and track the status of a book, whether it is being borrowed or untraceable, and has been registered with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) in 2021.
