KUCHING: A great performance was exhibited by the swimming club from Sarawak Amateur Swimming Association at the GRP Milo Age Level Swimming Championship Edition 1 2022 at the National Aquatic Centre, in Bukit Jalil last weekend.

The team under head coach Raymond Chang took home the first runner-up prize.

They won a total of 28 medals comprising 13 gold, nine silver and six bronze.

“Overall, I am satisfied with the performance displayed by the swimmers throughout the competition,” Chang told Arena Suara Sarawak/New Sarawak Tribune.

According to Chang, the participation of all his swimmers in the three -day tournament (January 14, 15, 16) is seen as the best platform to improve their existing weaknesses.

“At least it was the best stage for swimmers to improve their weaknesses, especially those who will compete in the Malaysian Games (SUKMA) later,” he added, adding that his team involved 22 swimmers aged 15 to 22, including national swimmer Wilson Sim.
