KUCHING: Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) has set up a task force to expedite drainage upgrades at Jalan Masjid, Jalan Market, and Lebuh Java here, said Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii.
He said the task force will also analyse all details of the case including addressing any disputes and obstacles.
“They have given their assurance that they are prioritising this project and will look into resolving the remaining outstanding issues,” he said in a Facebook post today.
He said they had a good discussion with DBKU mayor Datuk Junaidi Reduan and council officers pertaining to the progress of drainage upgrades at the aforementioned roads.
“We will continue to monitor and follow up on this matter to make sure that the project is completed as soon as possible for the convenience of the people,” said Dr Yii.
