KUCHING: A Chinese community leader from Betong, 51, died in an accident after his vehicle plunged down a ravine on Monday at 7pm.
The victim, Chua II Jen from Mission Road, Debak, was driving towards KM 2 Ulu Rimpas when he lost control of his car at the roundabout.
He died on the spot. State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement head Superintendant Alexson Naga Chabu said Chua’s remains were brought to Betong Hospital morgue for a post-mortem.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1987.
