KAPIT: Community leaders from Kapit and Bukit Mabong districts attended a day briefing on Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) held at the conference room of the State Office Complex at Jalan Bletih here today.
The briefing was conducted by Kapit Welfare officer Dariel Thiong in the presence of Kapit District Officer Cerisologo Sabut.
According to Darriel, the purpose of the briefing was to inform community leaders on eligible applicants for the KGC, how to apply for it, and what privileges cardholders are entitled to.
He hoped that after the briefing, the community leaders will then disseminate all vital information to the village chieftains to reach out to all senior citizens to apply for the card.
“Kapit and Bukit Mabong has some 14, 000 senior citizen and up to date, about 7, 500 applied for the card,” said Darriel.
