
KUCHING: Community leaders and village chief (KMKK) in the Batu Kitang constituency received their letter of appointment/service extension during a ‘Leaders with the People’ event in Kampung Sudat over the weekend.

Batu Kitang assemblyman, Lo Khere Chiang witnessed the presentation of appointment letters to the recipients.
Among those re-appointed are village chief for Kampung Sudat – Joseph Rohai, Kampung Tetamu – Georgy Tahang, Kampung Sinar Baru – Ngui Nam Chew and Kampung Bumbok- Jonnis Rened.
Meanwhile, Lo who is also chairman of Kota Padawan Municipal Council said, he always strived to make the best use of development funds for the constituency to develop the Batu Kitang area.
Hence, he appealed for full cooperation from all KMKK including the Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) to assist each other in maintaining the development in the area and ensuring the welfare of residents as well as supporting government policies and following advices from time to time.
