KUCHING: YTL Power International Berhad and YTL Construction intend to become ideal investment partners for the Sarawak government in the field of infrastructure construction.

Its managing director Datuk Yeoh Seok Hong said that Sarawak is on a strong trajectory towards achieving sustainable development, especially if the construction sector embraces the digital era.

In this regard, Yeoh said YTL is committed to combining their expertise in green energy, green energy data centres, and commercial development to benefit the state.

“We have previously collaborated with the Sarawak government in the supply of cement through YTL Cement Berhad, and now we are eagerly awaiting and seeking new opportunities to become partners in other areas, namely construction. We are ready to accept any investment opportunities available in this state,” he said.

Yeoh said this when met by the media after paying a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here, today.
