LIMBANG: All parties are urged to cooperate with the government’s efforts by complying with law enforcement directives related to vehicle modification offences with the use of noisy exhausts.

Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said the enforcement directive against noisy exhausts had been in effect nationwide since March 1.

“What has been done is in the public’s interest and we hope that all vehicle enthusiasts who like modifications, including vehicle workshop operators, will play their role in complying with the directive issued and not violate the exhaust production and installation standards set.”

The Limbang MP said this when officiating at the Malaysia Prihatin Sarawak Programme at Dewan Bunga Raya Limbang today.

“The general public also needs to cooperate be it to raise complaints and so on regarding the use of these noisy exhausts.”

Hasbi hoped that these efforts would be successful with the cooperation of all parties as noisy exhausts were a public nuisance.
