KUCHING: The cost of building the Kapit-Song landfill is RM20,091,900 while the one in Tunoh is RM10,235,600 – including consultant fees, land acquisition and compensation.

The consortium, comprising BL Consultant Team, Perunding Timur Sdn Bhd, Jurutera Iriaz Sdn Bhd, Jurukur Bahan Tema Sdn Bhd and EMS Progress Sdn Bhd, briefed Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing.

Two other landfills are on the horizon namely Kapit-Song (Level 2) and Bukit Mabong, Tunoh (Level 1).

Masing was also briefed on the progress of the RMK-11 projects by the Kapit District Council.

Also present at the briefing was Pelagus assemblyman Wilson Nyambong Ijang and Kapit District Council walikota Datuk Philimon Nuing.
