THE construction progress of the new Sri Aman Hospital as of Oct 23 this year is at 86.22 percent compared to the schedule of 97 percent completion.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said the contractor had been granted an additional three Extension of Time where the completion date had been revised to Feb 6 next year.

“Meanwhile, the site for Miri Hospital new block project for 328 beds has been handed over to the contractor on June 25 this year and the project is scheduled to complete by Oct 18, 2023,” he said.

He said this when delivering the Ministry of Local Government and Housing (MLGH) winding-up speech during the DUN Sitting today.

“For the new Lawas Hospital, the project has started on June 30 this year,” he said and added the Lawas Hospital project is scheduled to complete by Dec 26, 2023.

Regarding the retendering of Petra Jaya Hospital project, Uggah said the Public Works Department (JKR) had submitted the tender evaluation report to the Ministry of Finance on Oct 21 this year for approval.
