BINTULU: It is crucial for rural folk to give their cooperation when it comes to the implementation of development projects in their respective areas to ensure that it is executed smoothly.

This was said by Assistant Minister of Native Laws and Customs Datuk John Sikie Tayai, who added that the development projects aim to improve their lives.

He said this year alone, a total of 27 rural transformation programme (RTP) projects have been implemented within the Kakus constituency.

Thus, the Kakus assemblyman urged them to give their support and cooperation to ensure the smooth implementation of development projects within their areas.

“These development projects are an ongoing effort by the state government to improve the wellbeing of the rakyat,” he said during a site visit to Rumah Lemu Uton, Jalan Sangam Merit Tatau recently.

On another note, Sikie supported Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin’s advice to those who wish to return to their respective hometowns following the lifting of restriction movement to undergo mandatory self-testing first.
