PADAWAN: Police arrested a drug runner and a buyer at a parking lot in Jalan Stapok here last Friday (Sept 24).

Padawan OCPD Supt Aidil Bolhassan said police seized five plastic packets containing juice powder mixture inside a plastic bag in the 9.15pm operation, detaining also two men aged 25 and 28.

“The drugs are believed to be Ecstasy powder, weighing 225.35g and valued at RM3,250.

“During questioning, the first suspect admitted to acting as a runner — sending drugs to buyers but not collecting payment as they (buyers) had paid directly to the ‘tauke’.

“A packet of ‘juice’ is sold for RM650 and the runner only receives RM20 for each packet delivered. Efforts to locate the ‘tauke’ is in full swing.

“Meanwhile, the second suspect is a buyer,” Supt Aidil said.

Also seized were cash amounting to RM2,100, a gold ring, two gold bracelets worth RM24,031.80 and two vehicles, all of which are valued at RM66,131.80.
