PADAWAN: Police here arrested a man today (April 13) for alleged involvement in several cases of molest and obscenity.
The 20-something suspect was picked up by the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) around 1.15pm at a factory along Jalan Batu Kawa.
Padawan OCPD Supt Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the arrest was the result of a public tip-off.
Also seized were the suspect’s motorcycle, two helmets and his clothes.
“To date, we have received six police reports involving incidents of attempting to violate the victim’s honor and committing extreme obscenity.
“It’s believed that the suspect would follow the victim and when at a quiet area, the suspect would take the opportunity to commit extreme obscenity by showing his private parts to the victim,” he said.
The suspect will be remanded to facilitate investigation under Section 354 of the Penal Code and Section 509 of the Penal Code.
