SERIAN: Police nabbed a 24-year-old man before he could distribute syabu in villages here.

The local man, who also tested positive for drugs, was stopped for inspection by the roadside near Kampung Tana Buda.

District police chief DSP Aswandy Anis, said two plastic packets containing crystalline lumps, believed to be methamphetamine weighing 1.47gm, were found on the suspect.

“Investigations found that the drug has a street market value of RM250 and is believed meant for distribution to users at nearby villages in the district,” he said.

Aswandy assured that similar operations will be carried out continuously to curb drug distribution and drug abuse especially in villages.
