MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng together with the Zone 3 councillors distributed Christmas biscuits, candies and Santa’s hats to the children.

“This Christmas gift distribution aims to bring joy to the children in this area.

“Putting a smile on their faces during the pandemic is one of the ways to create a stronger relationship between the council and the community,” Wee said on Friday.

The Christmas gifts were also distributed to other residents in Tabuan area.

Wee and his councillors also distributed cupcakes and MBKS 2021 calendars to the public at markets and coffee shops.

“Through this effort, it is hoped that it would bring the council closer to the people,” he said.

The mayor also reminded the public to always adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that have been set by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) during the festive celebration.
