KUCHING: Cheshire Home received food supply after it requested help from Kuching South City Council (MBKS) last Saturday.

The food supply was hand over by MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong to the Cheshire Home, after he received a WhatsApp message last Friday night.

“MBKS officers had spoken to one of the Cheshire Homes staff and they requested for lemon, honey, milk powder, sugar and dry food,” said Wee.

The council was handed over the food supply consisting biscuits, milk powder, sugar, Milo and other essential items to them.

Wee said the food supply was sponsored by Kuching South Hawkers & Traders Association, KTS Mutual KTS Sdn Bhd and other donors.

He explained that Kuching South Hawkers & Traders Association had sponsored five boxes, KTS Mutual Sdn Bhd sponsored four boxes, and other donors sponsored dry food.

“I would like to thank the sponsors for their fast response on the request made by the home after being approached within 12 hours.

“Thank you for their willingness to donate to the Cheshire Home especially during this hard time,” he added.

He also hoped it would be sufficient for all the residents staying there.
