KUCHING: The Padawan Municipal Council (PMC) is committed to ensuring the safety of people within its area of jurisdiction.
Its chairman, Lo Khere Chiang, who is also Batu Kitang assemblyman, said, “We’re doing our part to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 in Sarawak.”
He also appealed to all concerned to play their part to contain the fast-spreading virus.
According to Lo, MPP has made it compulsory for all its staff members and the public who want to enter the MPP building to undergo temperature checks.
“The temperature check on individuals started yesterday and will continue until further notice,” he said.
Lo also encouraged all government departments and agencies as well as private organisations, who has yet to take precautions for their staff members, to do so in order to protect them from Covid–19.
“This is for the good of all Sarawakians,” he said.
