Counters set to help jab registration

MIRI: Miri City Council (MCC) is setting up counters at Riam Tamu as a step in assisting the public to register for the Covid-19 vaccination programme.

Minister of Transport Datuk Lee Kim Shin who is also minister in-charge of this division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) when visiting the location yesterday, urged the public to register for the Covid-19 vaccine jab immediately.

“The vaccination is crucial to fight the Covid-19 pandemic,” he asserted

The Senadin assemblyman disclosed, in this division, since the vaccination phase one programme was carried out on March, some 50 percent of the population had been inoculated.

Lee explained, there were two methods where the public can register for the vaccine. The can either do it through online registration via MySejahtera application or do it manually.

Commenting on MCC’s effort in setting up mobile counters, he said, this measure would assist especially senior citizens to register to receive the vaccine.
