KUCHING: A local man and an Indonesian woman were arrested on suspicion of drug possession in a house at Jalan Lidah Tanah, Batu Kitang on Monday (Oct 12).
Bau district police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said a team of police conducted the raid at 9.30am.
“As a result, the team found and arrested two unemployed individuals in their 30s inside the house.
“Further inspections were made and it led to the discovery of a transparent plastic packet and a red straw containing crystalline substances believed to be methamphetamine weighing 0.35g,” he said in a statement.
The drugs worth RM60, was seized and taken to the police station along with the two individuals.
Poge said both individuals tested positive for drugs and one of them has a criminal record.
He stated that a remand application will be applied for the individuals to facilitate police investigations under Section 12 (2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15 (1) (a) of the same Act.
