MIRI: A couple welcomed the birth of a baby girl at KPJ Miri Specialist Hospital on Malaysia Day.
Law Lee Chin, 25, delivered her second child, who weighed three kilogrammes at 1.57pm.
Miri KPJ general manager Denis Boniface said it is a tradition at the hospital to celebrate special occasions with patients, especially the birth of babies on auspicious dates.
On Aug 29, the hospital launched its Merdeka Maternity Campaign 2020, which will run until Dec 31.
Throughout the duration, mothers giving birth at Miri KPJ will be given a complimentary baby carrier.
