DARO: An afternoon blaze has engulfed a makeshift cowshed in Kampung Badong here yesterday (Jan 18).
Fortunately, no casualties were reported among the animals in the 3.47 pm incident.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that firemen from Daro station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.
Upon arrival, they found that the cowshed was beyond saving and the extinguishing deed was performed using water sourced from the fire truck.
Once the situation is deemed safe, the team concluded the operation at 4.30 pm.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred is still under investigation.
