KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) has relocated forty-four crocodile eggs found at a nest in Kampung Meranek, to a safer location away from the residential area.

The corporation said the discovery of the crocodile eggs were made following public complaints.

During the relocation process, the team managed to identify a location and ensure the safety around the area with the help of a drone.

Yesterday’s operation was assisted by the Samarahan Crocodile Hunters (SCH) team.

The corporation advised the public to be vigilant and immediately report any crocodile nest to SFC.

It warned that during the nesting season, female crocodiles can be aggressive especially in defending their nests.
