MIRI: A total of 120 pupils from 10 primary schools around here are taking part in a corporate social responsibility programme called Smart’s Cool which started yesterday at SK Pujut Corner.
The programme organised by Velesto Energy Berhad with SK Pujut Corner as co-host is carried out in collaboration with the Education Department.
The first such programme held by Velesto Energy outside Selangor, it focuses on giving the pupils some experience in learning Mathematics, Science and English.
The participating schools are SK Pujut Corner, SK Tudan, SK Kampung Bakam, SK Senadin, SK Merbau, SK Riam Batu 2, SK Lutong, SK Lambir Village, SK Kuala Baram 2, and SK Temengung Datuk Muip.
Among those present at the opening of the programme were Velesto Energy Berhad chief commercial officer Abdul Hadi Abdul Bari, Velesto Energy Berhad head corporate communications divisions Maryam Salwaana Kamal and Miri division education officer Shirini Mastura Mohd Zulkifli.
