KUCHING: Last weekend Charity Without Borders (CWB) went to Pantu, Sri Aman to check the road leading to three longhouses in the area where it is going to conduct its charity works on 8-10 December.
Charity Without Borders was formed since 2013 by Hope Place Kuching’s founder Kelvin Wan and Kelab Cabaran Pacuan 4 Roda Bintulu (Bintulu 4×4 Club).
CWB will go to the Pantu area in Sri Aman from 8-10 December to help residents of three longhouses in the area namely Kpg Tabung and Kpg Menuang.
To reach the longhouses the team will have to travel using 4WD vehicles as the road to the longhouses is very bad.
Any 4WD vehicle owner interested to join in the charity event may contact Allen Ting Tiew Liong of Bintulu 4×4 Club at 013-840 1818. The closing date is 30 October, 2017.
CWB programmes this year are different from the past four years.
This year besides doing charity at the needy longhouses we will also hold an off-road skill training for new drivers.

Hope Place is an NGO which visits the poor and less fortunate families to contribute essential food items like rice, cooking oil, sugar, salt, biscuits, and noodles.
Many of these families or individuals barely earn enough to get through the month. Hence, many are grateful for the assistance (basic necessities) delivered to them.
For families having children with special needs, or elderly or disabled people, they are provided with milk powder, oat and diapers as well.
Hope Place carries out its aid deliveries once every two months because of the many families on its recipients list with more than 170 families at present.
For more information on how you can help, Hope Place can be reached at (013-567 2775) from 8.30am -12pm and 2pm– 5pm Mondays to Fridays only.
