KUCHING: The establishment of D-Virtual Park plays a key role in instilling public confidence in the endless possibilities of technology.

Serba Dinamik Group Bhd (SDGB) group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah said D-Virtual Park is proof of the concept of the innovation hub initiative the company was trying to introduce globally.

“It is also a proof of frontier technology because we talk a lot about frontier technology and also IR 4.0 (Industrial Revolution 4.0), but where is the proof?

“So D-Virtual Park included the content of these technologies so that the people can experience and can properly understand that technology has a certain effect,” he said.

Abdul Karim said D-Virtual Park could also convince how IR 4.0 technology can simplify what humans could do.

“For example, if we want to go on a roller coaster ride, we have to go to the theme park. But in D-Virtual Park, you are experiencing this using the virtual concept which is part of the pillars of IR 4.0.

“This is a form of proof of technology and the experience they go through is the same as the physical presence in a conventional theme park,” he explained.

In addition to the existing D-Virtual Park facilities in Kota Samarahan and Bangi, Selangor, Abdul Karim said it would also be established in other states, namely Kota Bharu, Kelantan and Johor Bahru, Johor among other locations.

“We want to make D-Virtual Park a brand name that we can promote globally,” he added.
