DALAT: A total of 14,136 people have registered as vaccine recipients under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme in Dalat district as of on Sunday (July 4), said Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah.

“To date, 9,477 people (74.1 percent) have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and 1,828 people (14.3 percent) have completed both doses,” she said during the outreach programme today (Jul 4).

A total of 503 people from 15 longhouses in Ulu Baoh have been inoculated from June 25 to 26.

On Sunday (July 4), 122 people including two persons with disabilities (OKU) from Kampung Klid and 90 from Kampung Narub have received their vaccine.

A total of 225 people from 10 longhouses in Nanga Baoh will be inoculated this Thursday (July 8).

“This vaccination outreach programme is an initiative to ensure that people from inaccessible areas are not left behind from receiving the Covid-19 vaccines.

“Kampung Klid and Kampung Narub are only accessible by boat. The distance to Kampung Klid from Dalat town is 11.5km, which takes about 45 minutes by boat,” said Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman.

She said 212 people have been inoculated during the outreach programme.

“For OKUs who have mental and physical disabilities, the outreach team will go to their house to administer the vaccine,” she added.
