Dare Global eyes importing S’wak’s timber logs

DANYANG (Jiangsu Province, China): Dare Global Technologies Group Co Ltd, a leading company in the wood-based home industry here is looking forward to import timber logs from Sarawak in the future.

Dare Global general manager of brand and PA department, Ruizhe Zheng, said she just knew about Sarawak and sees the great potential of timber resources from the state.

“Maybe we can send our Research and Development (R&D) department from here to visit Sarawak and to have a collaboration in the future,” she said.

She said there is a possibility the company can import the timber logs from Sarawak and use them to manufacture the wooden products
in China.

Ruizhe made the remarks to the various media representatives from Sarawak during a visit by them to the company’s Home Gallery here yesterday.

The company’s number one brand in China, Power Dekor, specialises in wood-based flooring and furniture.

They have imported wood from places such North and South America, Europe, Russia, Germany, Africa and then use them to make hand-made and machine-made products in their factories here in China.

Dare Global has several factories across China and in Danyang city alone, the factory covers an area of 3,300 mu (543.5 acres).

Its products are mostly sold to consumers in China, but it also exports to Malaysia, Europe and North America.

About 90 percent of its wooden floor products are supplied to the Chinese market, and 10 percent are exported.
