DARO: A new district office equipped with an automated teller machine (ATM) facility will be built in Daro in conjunction with its 50th anniversary of achieving full district status, said Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

According to him, since everything is digitalised and at the tips of our fingers, there is no need to construct a bank because ATMs would provide all necessary banking services.

“In addition, we will also build apartment quarters for the government servants in this district, with the first one going up in Gedong.

“There will be washing and drying facilities, sports facilities, and other amenities in the building (in Daro).

“And do not worry because we will build it in other districts as well,” he said at the launch of the PETROS Multifuel Station in Daro today (Mar 19).

Also present were Igan Member of Parliament Ahmad Johnie Zawawi, Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad, Urban Development and Natural Resources Assistant Minister Datuk Len Talif Salleh, and Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman.
