RAWANG: Singer Adira Suhaimi and her husband, Datuk Red ended their marital rift with a divorce at the Gombak Barat Syariah Lower Court in Kuang here today.
Datuk Red, 43, whose real name is Datuk Seri Adnan Abu, pronounced the divorce against Adira, 33, before Syarie Judge Abdul Hadi Umar after the court granted the singer’s divorce application in accordance with Section 47 of the Islamic Family Enactment (State of Selangor) 2003.
Adira, who is Datuk Red’s second wife, filed the application for the second time on Oct 25 last year, citing irreconcilable differences as the main reasons.
The Sabah-born singer filed the divorce application for the first time on April 1, 2019, but withdrew it to give a second chance to her husband for the sake of the children.
The couple was married in Songkhla, Thailand on Dec 3, 2015, and has four children namely Anggrek (seven years old), Asan (six), Anggun (five) and Ayob (two). – BERNAMA
