KUCHING: Saratok MP Ali Biju, who has been conferred the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah award, which carries the title ‘Datuk’, says this will motivate him more to work harder for the nation and the people.
Ali, who is Federal Energy and Natural Resources Deputy Minister, was conferred the award in conjunction with Federal Territory Day, celebrated on Monday (Feb 1).
“The award from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is indeed an honour that I gracefully accept with the deepest humility.
“I am grateful to His Majesty for consenting to making this special conferment. I would also like to offer my sincere thanks to my senior leadership and to the people who have been with me through thick and thin.”
He said the award was yet another great motivation for him to work even harder for the nation and for the people.
“I pledge not to let His Majesty nor my senior leaders nor the people down as I carry this gracious title.”
