KUCHING: Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah acknowledged that the passing of Datuk Seri Dr James Dawos Mamit was a huge loss to the people of Sarawak.
“Dawos has always been the people’s representative of his constituency in Mambong and his passing early this morning is deeply sad,” he told reporters yesterday after the Kuching Marathon press conference here.
Abdul Karim added that Dawos’ passing also impacted the Bidayuh community and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) as he was always a loyal party member.
“Therefore, I would like to offer my deepest and sincere condolence to his family,” he said.
