KUCHING: Comply with the standard operating procedure (SOP) set by the government this Gawai, said Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
Fadillah said compliance is the only way to avoid turning the joy of the celebration into a tragedy.
He said like Hari Raya Aidilfitri, this year’s Kaamatan Festival and Hari Gawai are celebrated in a different atmosphere as the celebrations coincide with the conditional movement control order (CMCO).
“We are still in the fight to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. So, let us all adhere to the guidelines set by the government when celebrating.
“Practise good hygiene, social distancing, and celebrate with an open heart but in closed homes,” he said in a Gawai message on his Facebook page.
“Selamat Tadao Kaamatan and Selamat Hari Gawai,” the Petra Jaya MP said in his greetings.
