KUCHING: A full rehearsal on the 2023 Gawai Dayak Day Open House went smoothly at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on today.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas witnessed all the final preparations and looked into the details of the programme that day.

He was accompanied by Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi and Minister in the Premier’s Department Datuk John Sikie Tayai.

Also present were Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil, Deputy Minister of Utilities and Telecommunication Datuk Liwan Lagang, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Snowdan Lawan, Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil, Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring) Datuk Gerawat Gala and Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Native Customs and Law) Jefferson Jamit Unyat.

The open house will be officiated by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on June 1.

The public is also invited to attend from 10am to 4 pm.
