MIRI : The local branch of the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) held its triennial general meeting (TGM) here last Saturday.
Incumbent chairman, Captain Bernard Idit, in his address, spoke on ‘Towards sustainable DBNA Miri’ in which he shared the challenges faced by the association.
He hoped that the committee for the 2020 to 2022 period would not give up on any of their programmes.
Returning officers cum advisors of DBNA Mir i, George Sikien Sunow and Romioson Midun smoothly conducted the election of the new office bearers wi th the fol lowing results.
Chairman – Capt Bernard Idit (4th term)
Vice chairman – Christopher Narang (new face)
Secretary – Caroline Siburat
Assistant secretary – Belinda Kathy Khoo
Treasurer – Michael Veno
Assistant treasurer – Lawrence Sinel (new)
Ordinary committee members- Joseph Pitos Rikaw,Venezia Doning, Derek Cornas Dreammy , Simon Dawit, Nancy Roba Ribid, (new faces) Ronald Bujeng, Albert Jeris and Valentino Ivan Rimbang.
Sedi @ Lemon Jar ig and Francis Menden Dawit were appointed as internal auditors.
