BAU: A local man who was given warnings not to defy the movement control order (MCO) by police not once but thrice, was arrested yesterday at Jalan Dahan Estates, Bau.
Bau district police chief DSP Poge Nyaon stated that the 32-year-old offender was arrested during a snap check and MCO monitoring yesterday morning.
“The offender was arrested around 11am yesterday for not having valid reason to be outside and a travel permit.
“Warnings had been issued to him three times but the offender failed to give a valid reason and was found to be flouting the order,” he said in a statement.
The arrest was made under Section 186 of the Penal Code and Regulation 11 (1) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within the Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2020.
