BAU: Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Henry Harry Jinep inspected Jalan Apar-Sudoh Bridge at Kampung Tabong Singai here on Wednesday.

The purpose was to assess additional requirements for the replacement of the current ‘RSJ Bridge’ with a concrete structure, measuring 15 metres long and 3.5 metres wide.

The fund for the project has been approved by the federal Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW).

The initial phase of the project will involve cost estimation, followed by the design preparation and creation of a Bill of Quantities (BQ) by the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR), who will oversee the implementation.

Joining the Tasik Biru assemblyman on the visit were two assistant engineers from the JKR of the Bau district, namely Mohamad Faizal Wellman and Monica Junil Jikat.

Also present were Penghulu Morris John Siren, Tanjong Poting village chief Michael William, members of the Bau District Council and the village residents.
